To build a showU exercise,
you need:
- A graphics tool, such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, that can
store GIF files with transparency
You will use this tool to prepare the graphics and to locate the
coordinates for setting up the adaptive feedback
- A plain-text editor, such as Notepad or SimpleText
You will use this tool to prepare the data files which specify
the graphics and the adaptive feedback and to edit HTML files
To run a showU exercise,
you need:
- A Java-enabled web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator
The showU applet is embedded
in an HTML page.
Just access the page to run the exercise.
- (optional) An Internet or intranet site to host the applet files and the web page
in which the applet is embedded
If the applet is on a network, it can be accessed by many people at once.
But the applet can also run on your personal computer.
